Raven Writer treats a book as a structured work, not a single scrolling document. Compose your manuscript as named chapters and arrange the true anatomy of a book — front matter, body, and back matter — in a dedicated Structure mode. Book Info holds the edition metadata: title, author, and the details that make a manuscript a book.

Author Profiles

Build reusable author and pen-name profiles once and draw on them across every project. From a profile, Raven generates an editable About-the-Author starter page you can refine to taste — the same identity, ready wherever a book needs it.

Story Workshop

Behind the manuscript is a private Planning space — the Story Workshop — for the work only you see. Keep Characters, Places, and your own custom categories, each with images, attributes, and notes. This planning material stays private: it is deliberately excluded from what you publish.

Produce & Keep

When the book is ready, produce it: export a finished EPUB or PDF, or a portable .rvn file that carries the whole project so you can move or archive it. Every export is written where you choose, through the Android document picker.

Local by Design

Raven Writer ships with no internet permission — privacy is enforced by the app's structure, not a setting. Manuscripts, author profiles, planning records, and your reading progress live only in the app's private storage on your device. There are no accounts, no analytics, and nothing that leaves the phone unless you export it yourself.
